Jika kamu tanya aku tentang apa Mr. Robot yang pernah ramai dibicarakan ini, aku cuma punya satu jawaban: tentang seseorang yang ingin mengubah dunia.
Hmm… belum puas atau belum jelas? Oke. Mr. Robot ini adalah cerita tentang hacker yang berusaha melawan sebuah korporasi yang menguasai seluruh dunia. Sekarang sudah jelas, kan?
Kedengaran biasa ya. Iya, tema ceritanya memang begitu. Akan tetapi, cara penulis menceritakannya itu benar-benar bagus. Plot, karakter, dan tone cerita yang dark bikin pertarungan ini kerasa seru dan menegangkan. Bahkan kadang-kadang, terasa agak suram, dan juga brutal.
Elliot, yang ayahnya meninggal karena kanker akhirnya tumbuh besar dan menjadi seorang ahli komputer. Dia bekerja di sebuah perusahaan pengamanan jaringan gitu dan kliennya adalah korporasi besar tadi, E (atau setelah episode satu disebut dengan Evil). Elliot ini penyendiri, antisosial, depresi, kesepian, dan punya jadwal ketemu psikiater. Juga, seperti halnya karakter dengan sisi seperti itu, dia juga ketergantungan obat, untuk Elliot ini morphine, tapi dia juga menyiapkan penawarnya.
Suatu saat dia merasa diikuti dan akhirnya, bertemulah dia dengan Mr. Robot dan fsociety, sekelompok kecil hacker canggih. Dan akhirnya, Elliot tahu kalau rencana mereka adalah untuk menumbangkan raksasa Evil. Dari situlah segalanya dimulai.
Namun cerita Mr. Robot tidak dipenuhi dengan Elliot duduk setiap saat di depan komputer dan lupa dengan hidupnya. Dia masih harus menghadapi sahabatnya, Angela, yang selalu salah pilih pacar, kemudian tetangganya, Shayla, plus masalah Elliot dengan dirinya sendiri. Semua problema-problema itu saling berkaitan dengan kencang, sehingga kadang hampir kita engga diberi ruang untuk bernapas. Tapi bukan berarti karakter-karakter di sini engga diberi wadah berkembang, banyak momen-momen sederhana yang pas banget dan bisa menumbuhkan simpati untuk tiap karakter.
Cerita Mr. Robot ini terfokus pada Elliot, sisi kekomputeran dan hacker-nya pun menurutku cukup tersampaikan dan tergambarkan dengan baik. Memang engga mendominasi, bahkan sebagian besar yang disampaikan cukup bisa dicerna dan sisanya, buat yang engga ngerti ya cuma manggut-manggut aja.
Mr. Robot ini cukup mengingatkan aku kepada Person of Interest. Hanya saja, Mr. Robot ini karena ceritanya fokus di Elliot dan paranoia yang digambarkan pada penonton, bersumber dari pribadi Elliot—Mr Robot ini engga terlalu bikin takut. engga bikin khawatir. Karena fsociety ini baik, karena fokus ceritanya di mereka dan bukan pada dampaknya. Sementara Person of Interest, ketika kamu nonton dan menghayati ceritanya, kamu bakal dapat bagian dari paranoia yang ada di cerita tersebut.
Tiap kamu lihat kamera pengawas, kamu akan merasa seseorang sedang memperhatikanmu. Tapi secara keseluruhan, tentunya kedua serial ini sama-sama menyajikan cerita yang memberimu sudut pandang baru dengan gayanya masing-masing.
Mr. Robot akan diteruskan ke season dua. Memang ada hal-hal yang belum selesai di season satu ini, seperti apa cerita utamanya nanti di minggu selanjutnya yang akan saya post. Tapi, tapi, biar engga ketinggalan obrolan, kamu harus nonton serial ini dan, dan, dan… Rami Malek sebagai Elliot, keren abis!

If you ask me what Mr. This once-crowded robot is talked about, I have only one answer: about someone who wants to change the world.
Hmm ... not satisfied or yet clear? Okay. Mr. This robot is a story about hackers who try to fight a corporation that controls the whole world. Now it's clear, right?
Sounds normal yes. Yes, the theme is so. However, the way the author tells it is really good. The dark plot, character, and tone of the story make this fight so exciting and thrilling. Even sometimes, it feels rather bleak, and also brutal.
Elliot, whose father died of cancer eventually grew up and became a computer expert. He works for a network security company and his client is the big corporation, E (or after episode one called Evil). Elliot is a loner, antisocial, depressed, lonely, and has a meeting schedule psychiatrist. Also, like a character with such sides, he is also drug dependent, for Elliot this is morphine, but he also prepares his antidote.
One time he felt followed and finally, meet him with Mr. Robot and fsociety, a small group of advanced hackers. And finally, Elliot knew that their plan was to subvert Evil's giant. That's where it all started.
But the story of Mr. The robot is not filled with Elliot sitting every moment in front of the computer and forgetting his life. She still has to face her best friend, Angela, who always picks her boyfriend, then her neighbor, Shayla, plus Elliot's problem with herself. All of those problems are so tightly related that sometimes we are almost given the space to breathe. But that does not mean the characters here are not given a growing container, a lot of simple moments that fit really and can grow sympathy for each character.
Mr. Story This robot focused on Elliot, the side of computing and his hackers too I think quite conveyed and illustrated well. It is not dominating, even most of which is submitted enough to be digested and the rest, for those who do not understand ya just nodding aja.
Mr. This robot reminds me enough of Person of Interest. Only, Mr. This robot is because the story focuses on Elliot and the paranoia portrayed in the audience, sourced from Elliot-Mr. Robot's person is not too scared. do not worry. Because fsociety is good, because the focus of the story on them and not on the impact. While Person of Interest, when you watch and live the story, you will be part of the paranoia in the story. Every time you see the surveillance camera, you'll feel someone is watching you. But overall, of course, these two series are both presenting a story that gives you a new point of view with each style.
